Sushi Yu Japanese

Sushi Yu is hands down some of the best sushi in Brooklyn. Always the kindest delivery people, always SO much faster than GrubHub says they'll be, and I've never once had an issue. Clearly I like them enough that I felt the need to write a positive review. So, that should speak for itself.

Best sushi in the neighborhood, no doubt about it! Always fresh, never skimpy, very well-priced. Go for the sushi appetizer (5 pieces of sushi for $7!) and the shumai/gyoza. The delivery is fast and reliable. Order from here, and never be ripped off by mediocre Park Slope sushi again.. ha!

I order quite frequently, but tonight I have to say,was absolutely delicious. The spicy tuna rolls were so fresh...The rock shrimp was excellent. Their always on time,they separate the hot and cold foods,and always a friendly delivery guy!! 2thumbs up

These guys are wonderful. Very friendly, my favorite neighborhood sushi spot! They go above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of. My fiance and I order here all the time and I love their lunch specials.

Always have a great experience with Sushi Yu. The food is always hot and ready when I arrive and the staff are always happy and awesome! The sushi was delicious and my boyfriend loves the chicken katsu!

Amazing place. We've had some delivery trouble in the past in their neighborhood and have been weary about ordering due to tremendous wait times. But one night our laziness got the better of us and we hunted for some at-home sushi. This place not only caters to the lazy, but the budget conscious as well. We ordered 2 sushi bento boxes which comes with salad, miso soup, a california roll, and shrimp dumplings. Oh my is that a lot of food for $13 each. Totally worth it because after all it's only sushi, that is technically healthy for you, yeah? But what really blow me away was the delivery itself. Not only did the order arrive in 10 MINUTES (yeah, I said it) on a SATURDAY NIGHT (double hit) but the delivery guy have had the last few times is nothing but smiles. He always says, "Hello, how are you" and doesn't even seem to mind that we live on the 3rd floor. While soemtimes I'm cranky that I can't revoke my tip to other delivery people who show up 2 hours later with under-cooked cold food, I just want to invite this man into my home to watch the Walking Dead with us. I'm excited to try more of their foods. Thank you, Sushi Yu for restoring my faith in take-out!

sushi yu is really underrated. Is it the best sushi I've ever had? No. But it's really gooddeliverysushi. A few months ago, when we moved to Windsor Terrace, we ordered from every single sushi place on seamless trying to find our new sushi spot to order from. We were really disappointed by most places and had resigned ourselves to only getting sushi when we were in the neighborhoods of our favorite sushi spots. Then we tried sushi yu.. Fresh fish, good rolls, friendly service, and crazyfast delivery. I'm a huge fan of the gyoza, and the sashimi appetizer. My hubby loves the sushi deluxe and the many special rolls(like mango tango roll). Thanks to sushi yu, we can happily continue our Sushi Sundays tradition.

This is one of our favorite places to go. We order sushi here around 3 times a week. The rolls are delicious and fresh and they offer specialty rolls that are some of the best I've ever had. The staff and owner are so pleasant and friendly and always greet us with such a warm welcome and remember our favorite things to order. Everything is delivered in a timely manner and they have a great selection of sake. Their pork gyoza appetizer is a must have. We highly recommend Sushi Yu. Wonderful place.

Almost didn't order from here because of the ratings... Glad I did though! I was very happy with my food as well as the service. I ordered the lunch special to my office and it was great... It came with a little bit of everything: the rolls obviously, plus a little salad, edamame, miso soup, and these little fried dough things that I've never had before but were awesome. I will be ordering from here again soon!

This review is actually from my order today. I accidentally prepaid my order instead of choosing the cash payment method. I paid the delivery person in cash when they arrived and then the restaurant called 10 minutes later to tell me I had already paid for my order. They went ahead and canceled it though seamless so I could get my money refunded. I order from here at least once a week. Love it!
